And the Becca Obsession Continues…

Following my recent post about my Becca obsession, I finally managed to get my hands on the most stunning highlighter EVER-Champagne pop! This is a limited edition highlighter, which is a collaboration with Becca and YouYube beauty vlogger, Jaclyn Hill-aka. The queen of highlighting!

Just look at the packaging.....sooooo pretty :)

ChampagnePop is probably the most universal highlighter I have ever come across-it seriously compliments every skin tone. I find for the paler skins sometimes highlighters can look too dark and muddy, while on darker skin tones they can leave a not so pretty white streak. However the peach hue of this highlight is the reason why it is so flattering-it is the perfect combination of pink and yellow.

This highlight is part of the ‘Shimmering Skin perfector Pressed’ range by Becca. I have also gotten my hands on Rose Gold, which is a stunning, unique shade. I would recommend this highlighter for medium to darker skin tones, because it is a warm-toned, peach/brown with rose gold and copper shimmer.

The texture of these highlighters is soft, finely milled and blend like liquid. I can easily wear these highlighters for eight hours and the still look flawless-which I cannot say about many highlighters. I apply these products with a fan brush as it provides a natural, glowy finish without emphasising the pores and does not apply too much of the product.

If you are on the market for a new high-end highlighter these are some of  the best ones that I have ever tried. They are the most unique colours and definitely worth the hype!

Catalinageo Lipgloss

Well I am super excited to get my hands on these lipglosses!

Catalinageo is an Australian owned company supplying to beauty salons, hair salons, freelance makeup artists and training schools around Australia.  The product is also available in 12 countries around the world also sell online.

These glosses are really pigmented and lovely to wear - not sticky at all and last really well.  they contain Macadamia Oil and Vitamin E to help keep lips hydrated and soft.

The 2 gorgeous colours I have been trying out recently are  "Gala Beige" and "Princess Purple"  - anyone who knows me knows how much I love pink!

Gala Beige is the most beautiful nude/soft pink/beige - perfect if you want to enhance your own lip colour.  its really pigmented so it doesn't go on looking clear like a lot of lipglosses.  I'm super impressed. Its such a wearable shade for most skin types.

Princess Purple is just beautiful too.  Coming into summer its great to have that pop of colour on your lips while keeping them soft and plump!  I love this colour, its like a real cotton candy colour.

If you are ready for a new gloss then definitely check these out.  I love them!

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector

So I have been slightly obsessed with Becca products recently. I was inside a Sephora on my recent trip to America, (which was 400m where we were staying on Hollywood Blvd, very convenient I must say) when I discovered ‘Champagne Pop’ –a stunning pressed highlighter, but just my luck-it was sold out. After coming back from the trip I went a little crazy on Becca products :0)

I have the Shimmering Skin Perfectors in ‘Opal’ and ‘Moonstone’ which I cannot wait to use on my brides!!

These are a liquid highlighter, which can be used on the cheekbones and other highpoints on the face for a subtle highlight or can also be layered with a pressed powder to achieve the intensity you desire. I also like to mix them in with foundation for the ultimate summer sun kissed glow. These highlighters also come in two other shades: ‘Pearl’ is a white pearl shade and ‘Rose Gold’ is a deep gold rosy pink-which would be stunning on darker complexions.

‘Moonstone’ is a slightly yellow, pale gold/champagne, perfect for warmer skintones.

‘Opal’ is a peachy pink nude shade, which is also gorgeous.

These highlighters have a very fine shimmer, with a very natural dewy (not oily) finish so I guarantee you will not look like a glitter bomb! They are easy to work with and blend seamlessly if mixed in with foundation.

The packaging of this product is awesome! It is in a sleek, matte bottle and feels very luxurious.  I would expect nothing less for high-end makeup.

These highlighters have a pump, which I always appreciate as it is mess free and convenient. These highlighters contain 50mL, which is very generous considering most foundations are 30mL. Hence I can see this product lasting me a very long time considering I only use one pump for the entire face.

If you are looking for a natural, dewy glow for every day I definitely recommend to check these bad boys out.

Have you tried them? I’d love to hear what you think about them in the comments below!

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation Review

I have been using this foundation for a few months now and I really like it!

This foundation is perfect for everyday wear; it feels incredibly light, is not cakey and easily gets me through six hours with no touch ups (I have normal to dry skin). Sheer Glowprovides a glowing (as the name suggests!), natural finish with a medium (not really "sheer" coverage as the name suggests), buildable coverage.  This foundation is perfect for those who may get slightly drier in winter as it is quite a hydrating foundation and it doesn’t cling to any dry patches. It blurs imperfections, sunspots and uneven skin tones to create a flawless result.

I love applying this foundation with damp Beauty Blender (rinsing it under water and squeezing out the excess or alternatively spraying with MAC Fix +). It glides on flawlessly and allows me to achieve a perfect coverage.

This foundation does not contain SPF hence it is perfect for flash photography as will not create the dreaded white cast. This makes this foundation ideal for special events such as weddings and formals. However for everyday, I do apply a moisturiser with SPF so ensure my skin is protected from the sun.

One of the best things about this foundation is the range of colours available; there are 19 shades with both warm and cool undertones.  I have  a few of these shades (shown darkest to lightest) which I mix and match.  The first two have yellow undertones, the last has a more neutral undertone.

If your skin is on the oily or combo side, this foundation is probably not the best for you and you may find you get oily quicker-an alternative is NARS Sheer Matte.

Overall, I really like this foundation! I love that my skin still feels like skin, and has enough coverage to hide my imperfections.

Let me know if you have tried the NARSSheer Glow Foundation and what you think about it!

Three Lipstick Must-Have's

MAC’s lipstick in Snob has been one of my favourites for quite a while now! This colour is a cool toned light pink and compliments practically any makeup look so I always tend to grab it when I’m in a rush. Snob has a matte finish with a satin sheen-which is perfect for me as I find matte finishes can be sometimes drying.

Another MAC shade, which I have been obsessing over, is Heroine, a stunning bold purple. This shade is extremely pigmented and creamy and has a great lasting power. This tone is a definite winter must-have; it looks gorgeous on pale complexions and makes the skin look more vibrant and fresh because of the cool undertones. This is a matte shade, so I recommend exfoliating your lips (you can make your own by mixing brown sugar and honey), applying a very thin layer of lip balm and lining your lips.

My hands-down, favourite red lipstick is Georgio Armani Rouge d’Armani in the shade 400. This is a cool-toned, deep red lipstick, which looks stunning with a very natural eye and winged eyeliner. The lasting power of this lipstick is incredible; easily 6-8 hours, I can even eat with this lipstick and it will not budge! Although this is a matte lipstick, I don’t find it drying as long as I apply a very thin layer of lip balm for extra moisture.

I hope you enjoyed and let me know your favorite lipstick in the comments!
